The MICAT Exam, conducted by MICA Ahmedabad, is one of India's most unique and creativity-focused entrance exams for admission to PGDM and PGDM-C programs. If you plan to appear for MICAT 2025, you probably have many questions about the process.

MICAT stands for MICA Admission Test. It is conducted for admission into MICA’s PGDM and PGDM-C programs, focusing on strategic marketing and communication.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized university.
Final-year students can also apply.
You must also appear for CAT, XAT, or GMAT, as MICAT scores are considered along with one of these tests.
Visit mica.ac.in and complete the application form.
Pay the application fee (usually around Rs. 2,100/-).
If you haven't already, register separately for CAT, XAT, or GMAT.
Section A: Psychometric Test
Section B: Descriptive Test
Section C: Aptitude (VA, QA, GA, and Divergent Thinking)
Total duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
There are no negative marks in Sections A and B
The exam covers a wide range of topics:
Verbal Ability
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
General Awareness (media, marketing, current affairs)
Divergent and Convergent Thinking
Descriptive and Psychometric Analysis
Admit cards are released a few days after registration closes.
Separate admit cards are issued for MICAT I and MICAT II.
There are two phases of MICAT. You can appear for either or both. MICA considers the better score for shortlisting.
MICAT I result: December 2025 (tentative)
MICAT II result: February 2026 (tentative)
There’s no fixed percentile cutoff.
Selection is based on CAT/XAT/GMAT score + MICAT score + GE-PI performance.
Shortlisted candidates can showcase their potential in a Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). This flexible selection process is designed to bring out the best in you.
Shortlisted candidates appear for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
The final selection is based on a composite score of all components.
