Indian Institute of Plantation Management is one of the best b-schools of Bangalore. It is one of the best government institutes for research, training and agricultural education. A core group was established in 1990 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. After recommendations by core group, Indian Institute of Plantation Management was set up in 1993 which is registered under the Karnataka Society Registration Act. The institute also gets sponsorships from plantation sector and Commodity Boards and other plantation associations. The courses offered by the institute are Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Business and Management, FPM Agricultural Business and Plantation Management and PGCM International Business. The student teacher ratio of the classroom is 25:1. The institute provides all the facilities within the campus such as girls’ hostel, boys’ hostel, library, auditorium and medical aid room. The IT infrastructure is also good and is good enough to handle a full classroom.
