CMAT 2019 Analysis

This is the first time that CMAT happens in 2 slots – morning and afternoon. Besides, CMAT 2019 is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) instead of AICTE which used to conduct the exam till 2018.

CMAT 2019 Shift-1 exam has got finished by 12.30PM on January 28, 2019. CMAT 2019 slot-1 analysis reveals that the test has remained on predictable lines with moderate difficulty level but slightly more difficult Verbal section and time taking Data Interpretation, and twisted GK. The cut offs are not expected to go high. CMAT 2019 is the first CMAT conducted by NTA. In fact it has been reported a successful and glitch free exam. The exam was conducted from 9.30AM to 12.30PM. The test began on time and did not face technical issues although few stray cases of technical glitch were reported.

The CMAT 2019 shift-2 has got over at 5.30PM on January 28, 2019. Like the CMAT 2019 Shift-1 exam, the CMAT shift-2 has also remained a moderate exam with slightly tricky reasoning and a bit difficult Verbal. CMAT 2019 overall analysis reveals that the test has remained on predictable lines with moderate difficulty level but slightly more difficult Verbal section and time taking Data Interpretation. GK has focused on current affairs alongwith static facts. The cut offs are not expected to go high. CMAT 2019 is the first CMAT conducted by NTA. In Srinagar the exam has been rescheduled for January 29, 2019

CMAT 2019 Pattern: Slot-2 & Slot-1

CMAT 2019 exam had 100 questions in MCQ format. There were 4 sections with 25 MCQs in each section. The CMAT 2019 was conducted in 3 hours duration in shift-1 and shift-2.

CMAT 2019 Marking Scheme

1. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks in CMAT 2019.
2. Every wrong answer carries a penalty of -1 negative mark.
3. Total maximum marks are 400 for 100 MCQs.

CMAT 2019 is the last exam providing the opportunity to CAT 2018 and XAT 2019 test takers who have scored between 50 to 70 percentile to improve their scores and get admission opportunity in many top MBA colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, GIM Goa, VIPS(DSB) among others.
