About National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE)

The National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, commonly known as MANAGE, is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Located at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, the institute focuses on agricultural extension, agribusiness, policy, training and management development.

The flagship programme is officially titled Post Graduate Diploma in Management–Agri Business Management, or PGDM-ABM. It is a two-year, full-time residential programme recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. Introduced in 1996, the programme prepares agriculture and allied-discipline graduates for managerial careers across the agribusiness value chain.

The curriculum combines general management education with sector-specific learning. Students study subjects such as Marketing Management, Financial Management, Organisational Behaviour, Managerial Economics, Agribusiness Finance, Agricultural Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Commodity Trading, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management.

Applicants seeking MANAGE PGDM admission must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Sciences or an eligible agriculture-related discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA. Relaxation is available for candidates belonging to eligible reserved categories according to the applicable admission policy.

Admission to the programme is based on a valid CAT score. Shortlisted candidates are further evaluated through components such as academic performance, diversity, essay writing, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Practical exposure is integrated through case studies, field visits, industry interaction, live assignments and an eight-to-ten-week summer internship. These activities help students understand agricultural markets, rural consumers, food systems and supply-chain challenges.
